How much are dues?

Dues are typically up to 2% of people’s salary --- however, dues are dependent on the costs determined by the union leadership elected after our first contract to cover the operational and legal costs of the union. It is extremely common for newly formed bargaining units to fight for a wage increase to reflect the dues in their first contract. The dues will be voted adopted by the entire bargaining unit (staff in the union).
